Jose Zavala

Founder & Principal

Jose Zavala is the managing member of ZTX Advisors with 8 years of experience working in public accounting,  Jose spent his career working with small CPA firms which gave him the opportunity to learn and gain exposure to various small and medium size businesses.  He was able to work fully with these businesses and learn the ins and outs of how to run small and medium-sized businesses.  He has experience working with companies as an advisor as well as income tax preparation and planning.  

Jose was born in Pasadena, TX and moved to Alvin, TX at a young age.  He graduated from Alvin High School and went to the University of Houston Clear Lake where he graduated with a degree in Accounting.  Jose is an avid sports fan and loves all the Houston teams regardless of their win/loss record.  

His passions include soccer, family, technology, and helping others.  

He spends his free time with his baby girl Liliana, beautiful wife Tania, and their two dogs Tex and Jezzebelle.  He loves the outdoors and is an avid hunter.  

Interesting fact:  Jose played one year of college soccer at Alvin Community College.  That was his claim to fame.  

Morgan Henkel

Senior Manager - IT Security and Applications

Morgan has a background in Management Information Systems from the University of Texas and 8+ years of experience in Data Privacy and Security for a variety of industries and company sizes. She brings her experience and great attitude to help clients secure sensitive data, convert accounting software packages, and recommend apps and ad-ons to make a truly security focused, customized, and simplified accounting experience.

Morgan was born in Beaumont, TX and moved to Houston where she graduated from Klein High School. She loves spending time with her husband Oliver, her two sons, and their two cats. Her favorite activities include being active, visiting local parks, and entertaining friends and family with crawfish boils and barbecues.
